Nothing Warp is an Android application and Chrome Extension developed by Nothing Technology Limited. It helps you quickly transfer files, links, copied text, and images between your computer and your Android phone
and vice versa.[1]
History & Development
Nothing Warp started as a small tool that Nothing staff used internally.[2] It was released publicly on 15 April 2026, introduced via a post on nothing.community.[1] However, only hours after its initial release, the announcement post was hidden and the application and extension disappeared from both Google Play and the Chrome Web Store. Those who downloaded the app and extension prior to its removal were still able to use it without issue.[3]
Six days later, on 21 April, Warp made a return, albeit with a different installation method the for application: an Android APK file downloadable directly from the Nothing Community thread. An official statement from Community Team member, Zac, was also released, stating that Warp was temporarily withdrawn to fine-tune the product following its initial release
. He also confirmed there were no security or privacy concerns as some community members speculated.[4]
Warp is currently positioned as an early community project
and they encourage users to share feedback via the nothing.community thread.[1]
The application was developed by Nothing's Product Manager, Raymond Zhu, as his final project released at Nothing before he left the company after four years of employment.[5] He mentioned that this is intended as an interim solution while they await access to Google's AirDrop hack, which was released to Google Pixel devices in November 2025[6,7]
Features
Nothing Warp consists of two components - a lightweight Android app and an extension for Chromium-based browsers such as Arc, Brave, Chrome and Edge. Once both are installed, users sign into both apps with the same Google account which facilitates sending files to and from the app and the browser extension. The app takes advantage of the user's own Google Drive to move files securely, and doesn't send or store files on any third party server.
Despite being developed by Nothing, the app is compatible with any Android device, meaning that non-Nothing Phone users can take benefit from the tool.
Phone to Computer file transfer
Sending a file from a phone to a computer consists of tapping the native “Share” button in Android and selecting Nothing Warp. It then appears on browser extension and allows the user to download the file to their device.
Computer to Phone transfer
There are three methods for sending data from a computer to a phone once the extension is installed:
- Open the extension and click “Upload”
- Right-click any highlight content and click “Send with Nothing Warp”
