Nothing has adopted a unique hybrid investment strategy, blending traditional venture capital with community-driven Community Crowdfunding. Since its founding in 2020 by Carl Pei, the company has raised over $250 million across several funding rounds, with backing from prominent investors, angel investors and thousands of individuals worldwide.
Funding Rounds
Seed Round
Nothing raised approximately £5 million in seed funding in December 2020 to establish operations and kickstart product development.[1]
Series A Funding
In February 2021, the company secured its first institutional Series A, raising $15 million, led by Google Ventures (GV) - marking the foundational capital for growth.[2]
Simultaneously, Nothing ran their first Community Crowdfunding.
Series A Extension
In October 2021, Nothing announced a Series A extension, attracting an additional $50 million. This brought total Series A funding to approximately $74 million.[3]
Series B Funding
In March 2022, Nothing closed a $70 million Series B round, co-led by EQT Ventures and C Ventures. Other participant investors included GV, Tony Fadell’s Future Shape, Gaorong Capital and Animoca Brands. This took the total funding raised to $144 million from venture and community rounds.[4]
Series B1
Alongside another wave of Community Crowdfunding, Nothing closed a $96 million financing round in June 2023, led by Highland Europe, with continued support from GV, EQT Ventures and C Capital, alongside Swedish House Mafia.
As of this round, total funding reportedly surpassed $250 million, and the company attracted over 8,000 private investors through its community investment initiatives.[5]
Series C
In September 2025, Nothing announced they’d secured a further $200 million at a $1.3 billion valuation, led by Tiger Global, with significant support from existing shareholders GV, Highland Europe, EQT, Latitude, I2BF and Tapestry, alongside new strategic backing from Nikhil Kamath and Qualcomm Ventures.[6]

Other investors
On 12 May 2026, it was announced that Charli XCX would become Nothing's first Global Brand Ambassador and had invested in Nothing to become a shareholder. Alongside this, it was announced that Nothing surpassed $2 billion in lifetime revenue, closing almost $1 billion in 2025 alone.[7]
