Phone (4a) series

Phone (4a) series

The Nothing Phone (4a) series is Nothing's third generation mid-range Android devices, launched in March 2026. The series was Not introduced with two models - the base Phone (4a) and the Phone (4a) Pro, which continues the naming convention from the initial Phone (3a) series devices. The design difference between both models is significant, with the Phone (4a) Pro featuring a larger Glyph Matrix while the Phone (4a) includes a new type of Glyph Interface called the “Glyph Bar”. The Pro is also the first Nothing device to feature a solid metal back panel, with only a small transparent portion around the camera and Glyph Matrix.

History & Launch

The base Phone (4a) pro began global pre-orders on 5 March 2026, with open sales starting 13 March. It was priced at £349 / ₹31,999 / €349 for the 8+128 GB variant, ₹34,999 / €389 for the 8+256 GB variant, which was only available in select regions, and £399 / ₹37,999 / €429 for the 12+256 GB.[1]

As with previous device launches, customers could get their hands on devices early by visiting Nothing Store Soho on 7 March, where the first 50 customers received a free Ear (3) and all remaining customers on the day received Ear (a).[2] Nothing's latest retail space, the Nothing Store Bengaluru in India also hosted its first Drops event on the same day. The first 100 customers gained access to an exclusive engraved edition of Phone (4a), along with complimentary Ear (a).[3]

Only the Phone (4a) Pro is available in the US.[4]

The Phone (4a) was Nothing's most successful launch to date, with more than 2x the expected demand. With this came stock limitation issues, causing some frustration with potential buyers, which resulted in a social post statement from Akis who stated it should be resolved by the end of May.[5]

Design & Display

Colour Options: Phone (4a) comes in 4 colours, three of which are familiar colours featured on previous devices: White, Black and Blue, while a new Pink colourway was also introduced for the series.[6] Phone (4a) Pro comes in Black, which also includes a black transparent camera section, as well as Silver and Pink, which include white transparency.[7]
