CMF Buds Pro

CMF Buds Pro in orange Released as part of CMF by Nothing’s early audio lineup, the CMF Buds Pro represent the brand’s approach to offering more affordable true wireless earbuds compared to the Nothing Ear series, while still retaining core features such as active noise cancellation and practical everyday performance. The CMF Buds Pro focus on accessibility and functionality rather than premium materials or experimental design elements.[1]

Launched in 26 September 2023, CMF Buds Pro were initially priced at £69 / $69 / ₹3499 and were available in certain countries, including the UK, the US, & India, and introduced alongside the initial wave of CMF by Nothing products.[2] CMF Buds Pro were released in Orange, Dark Grey and Light Grey.[3]

Hardware

CMF Buds Pro come with an in-ear design and a round charging case featuring the CMF logo. Each earbud uses a N52 Grade Neodymium high-performance magnet driver, providing clear audio and deep bass. The earbuds are relatively lightweight and comfortable for extended wear. Each earbud weighs 4.8 g, while the charging case weighs 44.5 g, bringing the total carry weight to just under 55 g. The buds each include 55 mAh batteries, while the charging case holds a 460 mAh battery for extended playback up to 11 hours of non-stop music with buds only and 39 hours with the charging case. Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is supported, with noise reduction capability up to around 45 dB, alongside a Transparency Mode that allows external sound in when needed. The device also carries an IP54 rating for basic dust and splash resistance. Connectivity uses Bluetooth 5.3 with support for SBC and AAC codecs, and includes Fast Pair for quick connection to compatible devices.[2,4,5]

CMF Neckband Pro features a neckband-style design with flexible silicone housing, designed for comfort during extended wear and improved weight distribution, weighing 29.6 g for the entire unit. Each earbud is equipped with a 13.6 mm dynamic driver, delivering balanced audio with emphasis on low-frequency performance. Launched in 8 July 2024, CMF Buds Pro 2 were released alongside other CMF products, including the CMF Phone 1 and CMF Watch Pro 2. CMF Buds were initially priced at $59 / €59 / £59 / ₹4,299 and were available in certain countries, including the UK, the US, Europe & India.[13] CMF Buds Pro 2 were released in the standard Orange, Dark Grey and Light Grey colourways, as well as a new (navy) Blue option.[14]

CMF Headphone Pro feature an over-ear closed-back design with large 40 mm dynamic drivers tuned for clear audio with punchy bass and detailed mids. Weighing 283 g for the entire unit. They support Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) up to 40 dB with multiple ANC modes designed to reduce ambient noise in varied environments, Transparency Mode for hearing surroundings when needed. Controls

CMF Headphone Pro use a combination of physical controls consisting of an Energy Slider, a Roller, and a Button, located on the ear cups. The Energy Slider is used to adjust the sound balance by increasing or decreasing bass and treble levels. The Roller primarily controls volume, with a short press used to play or pause audio and a long press used to toggle active noise cancellation on or off. The Button functions as a configurable shortcut, allowing access to features such as ChatGPT integration, switching between noise cancellation modes or Spatial Audio, and muting or unmuting the built-in microphone, depending on user configuration.[24]
