Nothing Weather is the official weather app developed by Nothing for devices running Nothing OS.
It provides weather forecasting, using the AccuWeather API, in a style that aligns with Nothing’s dot matrix and minimalist visual identity and theming.[1] There are also a number of weather widgets available in Nothing OS, including a 2×2 circle and square, a 2×2 combo displaying current weather, current temperature and today’s high and low temperature, and a larger 4×2 forecast showing both today’s weather and the next 6 days’ forecasted weather, high and low temperature.
History & development
The weather app was introduced in Nothing OS 1.5, launched on 14 May 2023.[2] Over time, Nothing has released multiple updates and refinements. Most notably;
Features
Nothing Weather has all of the expected core features of a weather app:
- Real time weather updates, 24-hour trends and a 7-day forecast.
- Location detection and manual location selection.
- Home screen widgets to display current weather and forecasted weather.
Some highly requested features include being able to change the data endpoint, which is currently AccuWeather, and more in-app functionality such as radars/maps, without the need to go to the AccuWeather website.[7,8]
